Our trip to the Pacific Northwest

Last night Sean and I returned from our trip to the Pacific Northwest- Portland OR and Vancouver WA to be more specific. The purpose of our trip- to connect with a few masters in the outdoor gear world with the idea that maybe we'd move to the area after graduation. Sean's 2nd reason for going- "to get out of dodge". In the end we didn't necessarily pin down any solid job prospects, but with all the connections we made there is certainly hope for the future. Our plan, to put it briefly, is to be willing to go anywhere to take any job (mostly) that will give Sean managerial experience so he can, in a year or two, take that experience and get a job that he really wants in the outdoor gear world. Whew! Say that five times fast:)

A post wouldn't be complete without some pictures. Here are a few of the trip highlights:

The cute motel that we stayed in on our way to Portland.

The chic decor (bows and arrows), the beyond 'continental' breakfast, and the cast iron cowboys at above said motel.

What's a dog without his Mohawk?

One of my VERY favorite parts of the trip- Cannon Beach (town and beach). CUTEST town that I've ever had the pleasure of walking through. It was full of small shops and brick pathways lined with lanterns and benches. To top it all off the beach is a mere one minute walk away. My dream would be to retire here someday.

A quaint pizza shop in Cannon Beach. The funny thing is that I knew he was taking a picture of the pizza, but I didn't know I was in it. I was genuinely looking at the pizza with this longing face:)

I found this super cute boy on the beach...

...and then I suckered him into giving me a smooch.

I wanted to get a picture of the mossy rocks in Oregon. It really is so beautiful there.

And here is Mr. Mike Bitton. The rest of the Bitton's mysteriously escaped the view of my camera, but none of this trip would have been possible without them. Thanks again for the house, the food, the tours, the connections, and the nonstop entertainment. We'll return the favor, no questions asked, the next time you want to come to Logan...heh.
