It's Family that Matters Most

The last week of November and the first week of December were probably my two FAVORITE weeks of the ENTIRE year. To start it off my wonderful sister Alexis flew all the way from PA just to see ME! Well, maybe it wasn't JUST to see me, but her seeing me was my favorite part about her being here:)

With Ali here and so many family events going on Sean and I got to spend OODLES of time with my family and it was terrific!

First we all went down to sunny St. George for the Gwilliam Family reunion. We had a blast at the Gwilliam Family's gym.

Dec 5th was also a day to remember. Four out of the six Chaffin children and our spouses (minus Mr. Mike, we missed you Mike) drove to the Manti temple for our cousin Adam's wedding. That day I got to experience FOUR of my very favorite things all in ONE day: my family, the temple, a road trip and Fat Jacks Fat Sticks. It pretty much doesn't get any better than this.

The day after the wedding was the day to top it all off. My family all met at the tracks station and then rode down to SLC where we went on a $5 spending 'spree' for the person whose name we drew. $5 at the Gateway doesn't go very far, if you can imagine, but we all did pretty good.

Afterward we trekked over to Temple Square to see the lights.

All that time spent with my family helped me to remember how lucky I am to be a part of such a special group. I'm grateful for the days, hours and even minutes that we got to spent together this holiday season. Grateful for the laughter we shared and for the bonds that were strengthened. I'll be forever grateful for these people and the person they have helped me to become.

Wow! How did I miss this post? It looks like a lotta fun for sure. I'm totally jealous you got to have fat sticks. I'll have to take Rob back to Ephraim someday when it's NOT Sunday.
