The Big '26'

It's official. I am now closer to 30 than I am to 20. I don't know, it just feels...different, for some reason. Despite the fact that this year the 'I'm getting old' feeling hit me, I really did have a great birthday. The Friday before Sean and I went camping and he announced that he and I are going to Jack Johnson in August (wahoo!) and then the day of my birthday I was smothered with love from family and friends alike ALL DAY LONG. I have to say though that my very favorite part of the day was when Sean unveiled my much anticipated birthday cake, made by Sean himself. You remember the cake he made for our neighbor a few months ago and how I told him I would be ready and waiting for the same artistic treatment when my birthday rolled around? Well, he made good on his word and this is what I was given--

Thanks so much honey for truly putting your 'blood, sweat and tears' into this cake (note the band-aid:) You are the best!


I am a big, big fan of hammocks for those of you who don't remember/know. I know it might be hard to see the detail on the cake, but can you see the little frosting bugs? They were the perfect touch.
