The Ogden Half Marathon, what a cool race! I think Sean would say that this was the most scenic race he's run yet (this year). It started up in Eden UT and then dropped down in to Ogden via the Ogden Canyon, ending at (my fav) Historic 25th street. It also had a BOAT LOAD of participants (as evidenced in the # of porta potties you'll see pictures below). Sean wasn't initially planning to run this race, but when his boss (Becky) determined that she was too injured to carry out her plan to run it, Sean quickly offered to take her spot. Turns out that since the Ogden Marathon/Half Marathon is such a BIG deal, they put 'your' name on 'your' bib AND announce 'your' name when you cross the finish line. I was so proud of my strong "Rebecca" that day:)

The signature stretching picture. We don't want any injuries, so you gotta do plenty of this before the race.
And this.
It was too pretty up in Eden not to get a photo of the 2 of us.
See! I told you. That's a lot of honey buckets.
Live band. Super, super cool.
A BIG thanks to Heidi, Bridger and little Paxton for joining our support crew for the day.
We were able to see Sean just as he came out of the canyon. This is about mile 10.
Just after he crossed the finish line- feeling a little delirious I believe.
Amazing how a little bit of water and a cool chocolate creamy can make you feel a little better after a race:)
I love this picture (the finish line is back between those 2 traffic lights).
No he's not prepping to puke, he's just stretching out those exhausted calves of his.
Take THAT 4th Half Marathon this year! Good job honey!!!!!
May's race- Check
PS- I was SO impressed with the 2 dozen or so people that WALKED this whole race. You might think that sounds backwards, but I think it shows how dedicated they are to their cause: "Just getting out there and do what YOU can do. If you can't run, walk" So cool.
