The Year of the Runner

First of all, it's nice to see you again. I know it's been awhile...again. I wanted to share with everyone (that doesn't already follow on Facebook) our new love- running! We've both been running here and there over the past few years, but we just did the FL Ragnar race in January and it really lit a fire under us. It showed us how much we really enjoy racing! We don't run to win (maybe that will come later), but we both really enjoy being a part of the racing events. They really are SO much fun. That said, Sean has officially declared 2011 "The Year of the Runner". Ya, it's a little nutty, but I'm excited about it. The plan basically involves running a race every month of the year. The schedule is as follows:

-Jan: FL Ragnar Relay- Check (photos below)*
-Feb: Sweethearts 5K- Check (photos below)*
-March: Shamrock half Marathon
-April: Thanksgiving Point half Marathon for Sean/Adoption 5K for Sean and Jessie*
-May: The Dirty Dash 5K (actual date is June 4th)*
-June: The Wasatch Back, SLC Ragnar relay race
-July: Wasatch Back Marathon Relay (3 person team)*
-August: Moonlight half Marathon
-September: Top of Utah Marathon (YIKES!)
-October: Las Vegas Ragnar relay*
-November: Utah Human Race 5K*
-December: Jingle Jog*

Fun eh? I think it's a fun way to celebrate good health throughout the whole year. A nice way to keep us on track with exercising too. That said, I won't actually be joining Sean for ALL the races, just the ones marked with an asterix (?). I may do a 1/2 Marathon, but we'll see. Here are a few photos of what we've done so far. I'll try to post the photos each month. Hey, that might mean that you'll at LEAST get 1 post out of me each month:) Wish us luck!

January: FL Miami to Key West Ragnar Relay Race:

February- Sweethearts 5K (Bountiful UT):
