Prepping for Winter
Sean really, really doesn't like the cold. In fact, I think this might be the sole reason that once we finish school we will be saying 'adios' to Cache Valley - it just gets too dang cold in the winter! So, a few weeks ago, with winter upon us, Sean decided that he 'might feel differently about the cold' if he had the 'proper gear' to approach it:) It hasn't been confirmed, but I'm fairly certain this approach was his clever way of getting me to agree to spend $$ on gear from the shop he works in. Have you ever seen a 5 yr old working in a candy store? Ya, there's a reason for that...aside from the obvious child labor laws, of course:) In the end I gave him the go-ahead. I don't like to think I 'gave in', but rather that I didn't feel right telling him "Suck it up chump." Anyway, he is now the proud owner of: a down coat (that he loves so much he consistently wears it indoors), gloves, a new beanie to keep his bald head warm, and some paper-thin snow pants (that appear to be mostly worthless to me, but what do I know:) Here is a shot of him gearing-it-up to go to the library tonight. The lower portion of him is what inspired me to write this post. It doesn't make sense to me either, but he swears that he is toasty warm. I'd love to MAKE him put something on those toes, but you can't force a body to do things like this. You've got to let them 'spread their wings', even if you are fairly certain that mid-flight those wings are probably going to turn to ice and snap right off:)

oh dear I hope not! Hey Jess just stopping by to say hi! Hope your day is going well! see you this weekend!
Sean is so funny. I never got the warm top and cold bottom portion thing. Looks like nice snow gear, though. I'll be anxious to see if he stays warm this winter.
You know, I was this way in high school too. As long as I had a hoodie or something warm on top, I could wear shorts and snadals on bottom.
Not anymore.
Now I freeze regardless of what I wear--leather shoes, cordory pants, 2 t shirts, a hoodie, a coat, AND a hat. I still freeze. :(
It's warmer in PA!!! Hint, hint.
Sean get some pants and socks on!
That sounds like sean. So you think you really are coming this way eh? i think that would be pretty dang sweet. Anyway, we miss you guys.
