Happy 24th!

We didn't really plan on having a hot rockin' good time on the 24th of July, but that is pretty much what we got. Hours before the 24th our plans went from zilch to za-lot! The whole 24th was full of good friends, good food, good activities and ZERO amounts of stress...hence the reason I have declared the 24th of July to be my NEW FAVORITE HOLIDAY:) We started off the day with good ol' Trailer Court breakfast. The food was so good. I told everyone at the breakfast that if I could have a 24th of July wish it would be that I would never get full so I could just keep on eating. I won't bore you with a list of the food, but it was all the classics. My favorite though, were the Holmgrens famous homemade wheat waffles topped w/ Mindi's homemade buttermilk syrup. Check it out! Sooo delicious!

The breakfast crew. If we all didn't have plans to move on to bigger and better things (ie- living in real homes one day:) I would love to make this 24th of July breakfast a tradition

Ha ha ha...during the course of our breakfast FIVE of us broke the forks we were eating with! I guess our excitement for the tasty food filled us w/ strength we were not accustomed to...that or the forks were made of cheap plastic.

After the breakfast we got together with our great friends Steve and Chelsea to float the Bear River. We had a real nice, relaxing float with an average of just 2 injuries per person, Sean raising that avg w/ a total of 4 injuries. I guess that is what you get though when you insist on continually jumping in and out of your tube while floating in water that is only 3 ft deep:)

After the river we came home and had a TASTY bbq with the Maminakis's and the Crawfords (I must have been exhausted from the river trip because I didn't take any pictures, that never happens). Once our bellies were sufficiently stuffed we loaded our hinies into the car and went on a search for some new summer shorts for me. The search ended up not going so well, but that's OK because we DID find success afterwards when we went to Jamba Juice and got Jambas TWO for the price of ONE. The day really couldn't have been any better. Thanks to all of our good friends who contributed to the 24th of July goodness...my NEW favorite holiday:)

One thing that sucks about not living in Utah is you don't get the 24th as a holiday. It looks like you totally had a blast. It's amazing how many friends you guys have made in your trailer court. It will surely be a bitter sweat when you have to move on.

I'm glad you had fun. I've never been down the river, I'll have to try sometime.
