Savanna Marie is Here!

She made it!!! The delivery was SO quick! Ali was supposed to go in this morning to be induced, but her water ended up breaking yesterday (or maybe even the day before). Ali was pretty excited about this as she really did want to go into labor on her own, but not bad enough to pass up the induction date. So, she went into the hospital at 4pm, got her epidural from the 'epidural man' at 6:30ish, started pushing around 9ish and Savanna was here at 9:25pm weighing in at 6lbs, 4 oz and stretching out at 19inches long:) A tiny little body and a head full of hair. Savanna is doing nearly perfect. The cord was wrapped around her neck when she delivered and that has caused a some issues with her heart rate, temperature and glucose levels. But, from the sounds of it they taking care of these things and the overall feel is that mom and baby are doing just fine. Thanks to everyone for your interest and love. Child birth really is a beautiful, messy, not nearly as smelly as someone led me to believe (Sean), wonderful thing:) I loved every minute of it. Truly an experience I will never forget.

PS- I will post pictures once I get my camera back. It stayed with mom, dad and baby at the hospital last night.
