Ok, so it's not the most gracious name, but I guess that is what you get when you have two mature woman and two silly boys try to name a garden. I suppose it's the boy's way of punishing me for wanting to name it in the first place:) This lovely LeapFrog Garden before you is the creation of the Johnson's, but they think we are neat and allowed Sean and I to join in on the fun. That, or they just want someone to help them weed when it gets weedy. Either way, I am really excited and grateful that they are letting us join them in their gardening adventure. The Johnson's have been working on prepping the garden for the past few weeks and then this past Monday we all got together and planted the seeds. We've got some great veggies lined up (no pun intended) and some herbs too! The only thing that could possibly make this garden any better would be to believe it was NOT against housing policy. Unfortunately, it is. We are all trying to ignore the fact, but the truth of it is that the Johnson's cut out their lawn and formed this garden not realizing it is sorta a big trailer court 'no no'. You all know me, I'm not very good at 'breaking the law', even if it is just 'campus law'. I've pretty much been losing sleep nightly worrying that the RA is going to come knocking at our door at 5am with handcuffs in tow to take us down to the slammer. Aside from the sleepless nights, I am doing just fine. I use the rest of my time to think about how it makes much more sense to split the veggies, and the impending fine, between four people...not just two.

LeapFrog's very first watering! It's funny, but turning the water on was magical. We can't wait to see our little plants spring to life:)

i wouldn't worry so much, jessie. i'll bet you any sum of money they won't even notice or care. i mean, look at us... we almost sold ours "under the table" on accident.
there's no harm in a garden if you don't hit a gas line. that's all they are worried about anyway...
plus, those kids that mow in the summer will probably be greatful they have even less to mow now. :D
i miss you guys.
